So you ate, drank and spent too much over the Holidays. Now you are overweight, bloated, tired and broke, and you are promising yourself that you are going to change all that this year!
There are two reasons why New Year Resolutions don’t work;
- 1st we try and take on too much,
- 2nd we don’t believe in ourselves.
In the world of resolutions, “Size does matter”. You can turn your resolutions into realities by starting small. As the saying goes, “the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time!”
At the start of each New Year we begin by looking at our life and deciding this is the year we are going to make real changes in weight, romance, smoking, drinking, career, money, getting in shape, organizing, cleaning and more. Well, we never followed through in all the other years, so as good as our intentions and desires are our subconscious is not expecting our resolution to come true. We have conditioned ourselves to doubt our ability to change. This core lack of belief triggers a lack of commitment to action and the result is the same year after year: not pursuing our goals with consistent action.

Visiting the best Orlando timeshare resorts: a report on my family’s trip to Central Florida, Walt Disney World, and the perfect place to spend our holiday every year.
When we left Heathrow airport, we were certain that we should be wearing several layers of clothing. The frost on our windshield as we left home was almost too thick to scrape away in the short time that we had between leaving the house and arriving in the proper time for our security screening Our children, Emily and Peter, were jumping up and down when we told them that we would be taking a holiday to Walt Disney World. The morning of our flight, they were not so brave about being on a long plane trip to Florida. Emily was getting worried about being near the airplane window, so she rode all the way on the middle seat, clutching her favorite Disney Princess jacket. Peter was rather amusing to the flight attendant, asking her several times if she lived in the castle at the Magic Kingdom. But getting back to the perfect timeshare rental: the Orlando area has so many timeshare resorts, we were almost at a loss when we pulled up the information on the web. So many timeshare condos had web sites that offered the lowest price, or timeshare condos near Walt Disney World, or even the most luxury accommodations and lowest price around. The literature and pamphlets that we received in the post every day seemed to confuse us even more. There seemed to be no end to the flurry of timeshare Orlando information that we could be exposed to. I decided to have an evening organization session with my wonderful husband, Angus. Angus is in accounting, and he can usually spot a dubious deal or the hole in a discount timeshare rental’s pitch.

I’ll let you in on a secret: I know Santa Claus. And I received a letter from him with his Christmas list.

"Thank you for the homemade cookies last year. For some reason, people seem to forget that I’m not planning to lose weight, thank you very much. I don’t have a peanut allergy and I’m not lactose intolerant. Up here at the North Pole, we don’t get nonsense like that. But you wouldn’t believe some of the notes I get in lieu of cookies.

"I was never designed to be politically correct. Right jolly old elf and all that. I’m tired of all this nonsense from people who have forgotten what Christmas used to stand for.

The word mother and mothers day are simple, yet powerful little words that you hear all the time especially so around the time of mothers day when everyone seem to be scrambling for ideas to say thank you, you are surely loved and you are appreciated all over again.
But if you would just take time out, you would realize that useful hints were probably being dropped all alone and throughout the year. In fact, with that special day being only a few weeks away, some of your thoughts at this time can range anywhere from what are you going to do for your mother, spouse or other loved one to should it be a product gift or something more personal. If it is the product route, how can it be made more personalized? If it is the gift of time, how can it be made more personal?
Mothers Day for some will be welcomed with feelings of excitement while for others it may be a day of mixed feelings especially so if the mother you will honor has lost a child to tragedy. So that is why whenever you wish to honor someone in your own little way, you should consider where that person may be in their life and then the event. Many people say that it’s the thought that counts and yes that’s a very good point but so is too know a person and mother’s day is no exception.

Ever wondered how February 14 became, the day on which we celebrate and explore love in all its many ideals, Valentines Day.
There are many differing opinions on how Valentines Day started.
One story say that when the Roman Empire reigned, a festival every February was held in honour of the God of Fertility and during this time, young men would choose their mate. When a Emperor named Claudius can around, he outlawed all marriages in fear that the men would not be able to fight. Young couples still fell in love though and still wished to marry and they took these desires to the Catholic Bishop Valentine who, understanding love, began to secretly marry couples. When Claudius found out, he had Valentine arrested and ordered put to death. While waiting in jail, Valentine began exchanging letters with the jailers daughter and soon had fallen in love with her. The day he was to be beheaded, he wrote her one last note and signed it: From Your Valentine.
Another story points to Christianity in 496 A.D outlawing the pagan Lupercian Festival and replacing it with a day in February to honour the martyr St. Valentine.
