Top Ten Things To Do The Day After Valentines Day

August 23, 2007

Why should February 14th get all of the attention?

1. Water the flowers you receieved. You know that they will probabbly be dead

tomorrow, but you just have to take care of them.

2. Find somewhere in your room for the bear he bought you even though you already have ninety nine bears and you really do not have any more room for bears.

3. Buy the candy and flowers that Kroger is selling for half off. While you are at it, buy some cards so you will be ready for next year.

4. Buy what you really wanted him to buy you.

5. Cuss your significant other out because he forgot Valentine’s Day (just kidding)

6. Go to the bank (for some people it’s payday.)

7. Delete all of the Valentine’s Day related spam you received.

8. Sell that gift that you did not really want in an online auction.

9. Look for something to sell related to Valentine’s Day so you can make some

money next year.

10. Count all of the Valentine’s Day cards you received and replace the Christmas cards that were on the mantle with them. (I know some of you still have Christmas cards on your mantle.)

August 22, 2007

Vacation rentals are an option when you plan to go on a vacation and stay for any length of time. For example, Florida has the basic strategy of finding what the vacationer needs, what they are looking for and with what budget and then fulfilling that need. In the process, as a visitor to this beautiful state, you will have a wonderful and interesting vacation at a price you can afford. Stay as long as you like. A vacation rental makes that possible. It has both moderate and luxury accommodations in all areas of the state can be found very easily.

Vacation rentals can also be found with the owners. The owners are a pleasure to deal with, and most prompt with responding to the people. Bathed in Blue - Love Can Happen for You

August 21, 2007

Whether you know him by Eros or Cupid, this son of the Goddess Venus aka Aphrodite, has long been associated with Valentines Day. Cupid the cheeky cherub loves to play and delights in aiming his pointed arrows at unsuspecting victims. When his arrow pierces your heart- you will fall madly and deeply in love.

This Valentine, I felt the effects of his love tipped dart and it has been the most glorious feeling in the world. The most incredible, sexy, intelligent, funny, loving man on the face of this earth fell in love with me and I with him. There is no explaining this phenomenon except to say that Cupid must have played a role.

Now you might be saying to yourself, â??well great for her but what does this have to do with me?

If it can happen to me, it can happen to you and here’s how.

If you are bathed in blue instead of red today, then chances are you are alone. Am I right? Now,I am sorry to hear that but it is a temporary situation only and one that can be rectified quite quickly. Do you want to know how? Okay then work with me here.

Valentine?s Day Ideas for Singles

August 20, 2007

Maybe your significant other is overseas in the military. Maybe you have suffered a recent divorce. Whatever the reason, you may find yourself alone this Valentine’s Day. Does this mean you should sit at home feeling sorry for yourself? I think not. Here are some ideas for people who find themselves alone this year.

1. Take yourself out.

Who says you have to have a member of the opposite sex take you out? I do not see anything wrong with getting all dressed up to go out with the person you should have the most fun with, you. So go put on your best dress or suit and have a night on the town by yourself. At least you won’t spend the whole night worrying about whether or not you have salad in your teeth.

2. Go out with your other single friends.

I’m sure that you have some other friends that are in the same predicament you are in. Why not call up one of your friends that you haven’t seen in a while and go out with him or her. I am sure that your friend will appreciate you thinking about him or her.

You Have To Love The Location, Say These Owners Of Orlando Florida Villas

August 19, 2007

It has been said that in real estate there are three things that count the most: location, location and location. I recently discovered how powerful this concept can be.

Not long ago, I wrote an article about owning a vacation rental and what to consider before making the plunge ( http://www.seo-writer.net/clients/villa-ownership.html ). Like every decision, there are pros and cons, and it also depends on an individual’s temperament, comfort with risk and many other factors.

I asked a few dozen villa owners who were listed at an Orlando Florida villas rental listing site at http://www.lastminutevillas.net why they had chosen villa ownership and what cautions or advice they would offer somebody considering a Florida vacation rental.

What struck me, however, was how most of the vacation rental owners I interviewed offered more comments on why they chose Florida as a location, than why they chose to be a villa owner.

In other words, the location more than the occupation inspired villa ownership, and that location is Orlando, Florida. Considering the battering Florida had recently taken by one hurricane after another, this struck me as kind of odd. So I picked up the phone and called Stewart Granville, owner of the listing site.

Top Ten Tips To A Terrific Valentine?s Day - For Women in Relationships

August 18, 2007

So Valentine’s Day is upon us yet again, and most of us want to be wooed and romanced by the one that we love. Hopefully that will be the case, but either way, here are some suggestions for how you can do your part to make this day a special day for you and your guy:

1. Send a nice note or treat with him to work - put it where it won’t be found until later, if you can. Write something sweet or sexy or both - whatever he prefers (sexy is usually a safe bet!), and let him know that you appreciate all that he does for you.

2. Schedule time to prepare to see him at the end of the day - prepare as though it was your first date. You know what that means: shave the TOP of your legs, make sure your toenails are pretty, remove any unwanted hair, etc.

3. Break out the lacy lingerie. He has seen enough of your comfy-wear. Give him a treat. Men are very visual and this will be greatly appreciated, if only for the brief time you might be wearing it.

Top Ten Tips To A Terrific Valentine?s Day - For Men in Relationships

August 18, 2007

Okay guys, so this is a great opportunity to get back in the good books, or if you are already there, to get some extra points. Women love to be courted, wooed, treated like princesses. And most of them like this to occur on Valentine’s Day (as well as other days, but that’s a Tip List for another time!). Beware, unless you have been told to ignore Valentine’s Day (and only if you have in the past and it has worked), do NOT, under any circumstances, neglect to celebrate this occasion of love and romance. Her friends will all be asking her the next day what you did, and if she has to tell them "nothing", it cannot be good for you! Read these tips for some help:

1. Don’t forget about Valentine’s Day! There are lots of reminders everywhere. Notice the hearts and advertisements.

2. Leave her a note or card before you leave for work and tell her that you will be thinking about her.

Mindfulness and Retirement: Considering Brazil

August 17, 2007

I have a 17-year-old daughter who is finishing up a year in Vitoria, Brazil. She’s been having the time of her life in a gorgeous coastal city with the beaches of her dreams and the cute guys to match. What’s not to like?

Tara told us that we could buy a beautiful home (”All marble floors!”) on a spectacular beach (”White sand!”) in a number of lovely cities (”Amazing architecture!”) with friendly neighbors (”Dancing all night with people who don’t know you but love you anyway!”)

In fact, she helpfully suggested that we could snag one of these properties for a mere $100,000…less than half of the median price for a typical house in our area.

She went on to say that we could buy a house on the coast in Brazil and retire there, with a delightful lifestyle, plenty of great friends, outstanding and inexpensive medical care, and zero chance of boredom or loneliness.

We weren’t surprised that she suggested this. After all, she has an ulterior motive–why, SHE could be the one to manage the property until we decide to retire! She would, of course, have to live in beautiful, coastal, hunk-heavy, dance-crazed Brazil in order to do this, but she was willing to make this supreme sacrifice to support our perfect retirement.

Creative And Inexpensive Gift Ideas

August 16, 2007

I have a friend who works at a loan company. She starts getting busy around August — because her offices are flooded with people taking out loans for their holiday shopping. And she stays busy well into the new year — because a huge percentage of those people default on their loans. Why do we feel compelled to go so deeply in DEBT buying gifts? It seems as though every year the bar is raised — we are expected to spend more and more.

And where does all this spending get us? I can’t tell you how many of my organizing clients have literally piles of old Christmas gifts buried in their closets — items for which they really have no use, but feel guilty about cleaning out. I’m pretty sure that the holidays are not supposed to be about debt, guilt, and clutter! But you can also take steps on the “giving” side to make the holiday less stressful — for both you and the recipient:

Creating Your Own Holiday Traditions

August 15, 2007

I love this time of year — decorations on the houses, a cold nip in the air, beautiful music everywhere you go. I often have a hard time understanding why so many people get so FRUSTRATED during the holidays — until I go out in public and partake of the madness. Between the crowds, the crazed spending, and the pressures to participate in every social event that comes along, it’s no wonder that some folks dread this joyous season!

So I invite you to make a pact with me — this is the year that you decide to step off of the treadmill and do your own thing. Who says that you have to have a nervous breakdown to celebrate properly? Where is it written that you must give in to the consumer feeding frenzy? If I remember correctly, the holidays are supposed to be a time when you celebrate all that is good about life — when you enjoy the company of your friends and family — and when you spread goodwill wherever you go. The holidays are a time when you get to practice being the person you always hoped you could be — how can you do that when you are going 90 miles an hour? Let’s take time this year to develop a few holiday rituals that focus on your true priorities.
